Following on from Motorcycling Australia’s announcement that the Gilman round of the ProMX national motocross series will likely move to July 10/11 due to COVID disruptions, Motorcycling Queensland’s MX Subcommittee wishes to announce that the Queensland Motocross Championship round formerly occupying this date will be rescheduled.
In order to facilitate the attendance of as many national competitors and their families as possible, and after considering a range of alternatives, the subcommittee has moved the round to August 28/29.
The host club and venue will remain the same, and the subcommittee thanks the Mackay Junior Motocross Club for its cooperation and flexibility.
This decision has been made to attempt to provide the best outcome for the largest number of state championship contenders during what are obviously challenging times, and the subcommittee apologises for any inconvenience caused.
The Queensland Motocross Championship round at Coolum will now kick off proceedings on the weekend of July 31/August 1, with the champions crowned at Mackay on August 28/29.
