A racing number is no big deal to some people. But to others, choosing the racing number that’s going to essentially be your on-track name, face and brand is part of the fun of being a racer.
At most times of the year there are riders wanting riding numbers, and Ridernet doesn’t yet have a program to allow real-time allocations, like, say, a concert seating app.
So, here’s how the current process works:
Send an email to Sammi at admin@mqld.org.au and say, “Hello, I’d like to choose a racing number.”
Sammi: “I have emailed you a list of the options which are already allocated (it’s the best we can do), so please email me three numbers that AREN’T on the list, in order of your preference.”
<NOTE: Move fast at this point, because available numbers can become unavailable quickly.>
You, after receiving your email: “These are my three choices, in order of preference… … …”
Sammi: Checks what is still available, because time has elapsed since she sent you the list. She allocates your highest preference and then sends you a notification email.
