Please note: MQ rotate where we schedule our courses each year and endeavour to service as many clubs as possible, but we cannot get to every club’s location. Unfortunately, some travel might be required by participants to get to these courses.
To request a quote from MQ to come to your area please email – projects@mqld.org.au. It is recommended that clubs apply for grants if they need MQ to come to their area specifically. Check out the latest grants on the MQ website here.
COMPONENTS OF COACHING COURSE
The following are the pre-requisites* that must be achieved before a candidate may apply for “Club Coach” or “Level 1” accreditation:
- Must be at least 17 years of age (18 at the time of applying)
- Be medically and physically capable of undertaking the work required as a coach (subjective assessment by Practical Seminar presenter)
- Provide proven association and/or membership with an MA affiliated club
- Provide proven understanding of motorcycle riding skills and techniques in motorcycle sport and/or provide proof of personal riding competency.
Online training requisites:
- Provide proof of the successful completion of the Motorcycling Australia Learning Centre (MALC) Club Coach Sport Specific online training course
- Provide proof of the successful completion of the e-Learning Australian Sports Commission Community Coaching Essential skills modules (Via the MALC).
- Provide proof of the successful completion of the e-Learning Sport Integrity Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction (via the MALC).
- Provide proof of the successful completion of the e-Learning Sport Integrity Australia Coaches course.
- Provide proof of the successful completion of the e-Learning Sport Integrity Australia National Integrity Framework Course.
- Provide proof of the successful completion of the e-Learning Sport Integrity Australia Anti-Doping Fundamentals course.
- Provide proof of the successful completion of the e-Learning Sport Integrity Australia Annual Update course (completed yearly).

Practical Training requisites:
- Attend a Motorcycling Queensland Level 1 Coaching Course ($150) and successfully complete all assessment components.
- Provide Proof of 20 hours practical motorcycle coaching experience (Level 1)
Documentation requisites:

- Must hold a current “Provide First Aid/CPR” Certificate.
- Must hold current WWCC card and comply with WWCC legislation (QLD Blue Card)
- Must agree to and be prepared to comply with and implement the minimum standards of the MA Coaches Code of Behaviour
- Complete all sections of the Club Coach / Level 1 Motorcycle Sport Coaching Accreditation renewal application form and submit copies of all completed pages to Motorcycling Queensland.
Practical Component
Complete at the MQ Level 1 Coaching Course
Time: 9am – 5pm (approx)
Cost: $150
What to bring: Bike and gear, Sun protection, eg sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water bottle, etc.

- Catering
- All necessary course resources
Course covers: Level 1 motorcycle sport (practical) component
Including:
- ‘Kick Start’ modules
- Discipline specific skills
- Licence Testing Assessment
