Types of licences

The following are the different types of annual licences available to riders wanting to participate in motorcycle events:

nb: Junior licence holders must be under 16 years of age. Once a a Junior Licence holder turns 16 years old, they are required to upgrade to a Senior Licence.

* Senior National Licence
* Senior Club Licence
* Restricted National Licence
* Junior National Licence
* Junior Club Licence
* Nipper Licence
* Recreational Licence
* Single Use Recreational Activity Licence
* One Meeting Licence
* Senior National One Meeting Licence (Historic/Masters Events)

 

Senior National Licence
Entitles the holder to participate in any authorised senior competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia. Cost $265.

Senior Club Licence
Entitles the holder to participate in any authorised senior 'closed to club', interclub, or zone competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia. Cost $230.

Restricted National Licence
Entitles the holder to participate in senior Fast 50's, Mini-Moto, and Moto-Trials competitions only. Cost $175.00

Junior National Licence
Ages 7 - 15 years inclusive, entitles the holder to participate in any authorised junior competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia. Cost $240.
The minimum age to obtain a junior competition licence will change to 7 years of age.

Junior Club Licence
Ages 6 - 15 years inclusive, entitles the holder to participate in any authorised junior 'closed to club', interclub, or zone competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia. Cost $215.
The minimum age to obtain a junior competition licence will change to 7 years of age.

Nipper Licence
Ages 4 - 8 years inclusive, entitles the holder to participate in 50cc Division 1 demonstrations only. Cost $85.50
The minimum age to obtain a junior competition licence will change to 7 years of age.

Recreational Licence
Minimum age is 4 years of age. Entitles the holder to participate in practice, coaching, trail rides and other 'non-competition' events only. Cost $85.50

The following 'Single Use & One Meeting' Licences are also available:

Single Use Recreational Activity Licence
Purchased on the day at the event, these licences allow motorcyclists to experience a one-off motorcycle sporting activity in a non-competitive environment only, eg coaching, practice, trails rides. Cost $20

One Meeting Licence
Purchased on the day at the event, these licences entitles the holder to compete in one closed to club, zone or interclub meeting only. Junior riders wanting to purchase this type of licence must be able to show that they have a Junior Competition - Log Book. Cost $44
