The purpose the Motorcycling Queensland Club of the Year Award is to recognise and reward clubs that perform both on and off the track, encourage Clubs to improve their administration and to recognise administrators of clubs for their outstanding service to the sport and their Club.

The winning club is the club that accrues the most points, based on the Motorcycling Queensland Club of the Year Criteria, during the period 1 November - 31 October.

The following places are acknowledged at the annual Motorcycling Queensland Awards Night:

1st Place

- Club Affiliation paid by MQ for the following year.
- Trophy presented at Awards Night.
- Name on the perpetual shield.
- 2 tickets to the MQ Awards Night.

2nd Place

- Trophy presented at Awards Night.
- 2 tickets to the MQ Awards Night.

3rd Place

- Trophy presented at Awards Night.
- 2 tickets to the MQ Awards Night.

An award has also been established to recognise the 'Arnie Hallett Most Improved Club of the Year’ (the club that has the biggest positive points difference from one year to the next).
