Kim Rowcliffe
General Manager

Kim has been with Motorcycling Queensland since June 2002, originally in the post of Development Officer and more recently in the role of Operations Manager (since October 2010).

He has since stepped up to the role of General Manager, and works with the MQ Board to achieve the organisation's strategic and operational objectives.


Michael Brown
Operations Manager

Michael joined the Motorcycling Queensland team in March 2011. He is responsible for the management and development of the events licencing, venue and permit program as well as the provision of direction and support in relation to the sustained growth and development of the club system within our sport. Michael also oversees the development and management of QLD Moto Park’s Strategic and Operational Plans.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business in Sports Management from Griffith University Gold Coast.



  Karly Hoger
Licence and Development Officer

Karly has been with Motorcycling Queensland since August 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Business with majors in Sport and Recreation and Travel and Tourism.

She is responsible for the processing of all riding licences, including riding numbers for over 7,000 licence holders each year, as well as managing and maintaining MQ’s Suspended Riders list. Karly is also responsible for the scheduling and development of training programs for coaches and officials. 

On top of all that, Karly looks after the MQ Elite Rider Training Program, acts as the secretary of the MQ Coaching Committee, is the MQ office liason with the MQ subcommittees and oversees the development of MQ Grants.

Shandelle Walk
Finance Officer

Shandelle joined Motorcycling Queensland as Accounts Officer/ PA to the General Manager in December 2013.

She is responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate accounts for MQ, MGHT, QMP and all sport committees. Shandelle is also responsible for the preparation and monitoring of budgets for both MQ and QMP.

As well, she prepares monthly reporting for the Board, quarterly reports for the SEQ Council of Mayors, and assistance to subcommittees in payment of accounts, budgeting, prize money, reporting and sponsorship invoicing. 


 Rachelle Houterman
Administration Officer

Rachelle joined Motorcycling Queensland in 2008. Rachelle is responsible for many of the front office reception duties, managing the Blue Card application and renewal procedure, and a variety of other administrative tasks that MQ delivers to its licence holders.


 Rachelle is also coordinating the MYLAPS timing system throughout the state, including organising training for clubs.



John Pinnell

Media & Public Relations Co-Ordinator

With a long and varied career working as a writer and photographer within the motorcycle media and for several manufacturers, John has spread motorcycling’s good word in Queensland for more years than he’d care to admit. He’ll look after the organisation's media, communications and public relations including: MQ and Queensland Moto Park eNewsletters, press releases, website maintenance, social media and more.
