TYPES OF LICENCES

The following are the different types of annual licences available to riders wanting to participate in motorcycle events:

Please note: Junior licence holders must be under 16 years of age as at 1 January to race as a Junior in calendar year. Once a a Junior Licence holder turns 16 years old, they may upgrade to a Senior Licence. Once a Senior Licence has been obtained they can no longer ride as a Junior.



Senior National Licence
Entitles the holder to participate in any authorised senior competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia.



Senior National One Meeting
Entitles the holder to participate in Historic & Masters meetings, see GCR 3.1.2.4.



Senior Club Licence
Entitles the holder to participate in any authorised senior 'closed to club', interclub, or zone competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia.



Restricted National Licence
Entitles the holder to participate in senior Fast 50's, Mini-Moto, and Moto-Trials competitions only.



Restricted Junior National Licence
Ages 7 - 15 years inclusive, entitles the holder to participate in senior Fast 50's, Mini-Moto, and Moto-Trials competitions only.



Junior National Licence
Ages 7 - 15 years inclusive, entitles the holder to participate in any authorised junior competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia.



Junior Club Licence
Ages 7 - 15 years inclusive, entitles the holder to participate in any authorised junior 'closed to club', interclub, or zone competition under the jurisdiction of Motorcycling Queensland or Motorcycle Australia.



Mini Licence
Ages 4 - 15 years inclusive, entitles the holder to participate in 50cc Demo (previously Division 1), any Minikhana activities and all non-competitive events.



Recreational Licence
Minimum age is 16 years of age. Entitles the holder to participate in practice, trail rides and other 'non-competition' events only.

The following 'Single Use & One Meeting' Licences are also available:

Single Use Recreational Activity Licence
Purchased on the day at the event, these licences allow motorcyclists to experience a one-off motorcycle sporting activity in a non-competitive environment only, eg coaching, practice, trails rides.



One Meeting Licence
Purchased on the day at the event, these licences entitles the holder to compete in one closed to club, zone or interclub meeting only. Junior riders wanting to purchase this type of licence must be able to show that they have a Junior Competition - Log Book. Cost $44.
