Doohan (OAM)
 The name Michael Doohan, has for the past 20 years
been synonymous with motorcycle racing not only in
this country, but world
wide.
Mick is
a Brisbane boy who made it big, through sheer hard
work and determination, and as a consequence is admired
by all who come into contact with him.
He can count amongst his many achievements 5 MotoGP World
Championships and the Order of Australia Medal - 1996.

Motorcycle sport has had a long and proud tradition in
Ipswich and its surrounding areas. The relationship
that has been built between Councillor Paul Pisasale and
Motorcycling Queensland will assist in ensuring that this
tradition continues.
