General
Competition Rules
Motorcycling Australia is responsible, on an annual
basis, for the updating of and production of the General
Competition Rules (GCR’s).
No set of rules can ever anticipate every problem which may
arise in the conduct of a sport with as wide a variety of
disciplines and competing interests as exist in motorcycling.
The philosophy of the GCR’s is that, at all levels
of the sport, good sense, cooperation and fair and reasonable
interpretation of reasonable rules, will prevail over ‘rule
book racing’.
The GCR’s are divided into 17 chapters followed by
a series of by-laws and other provisions.
Chapter 1 – Jurisdiction
Chapter 2 - Administration
Chapter 3 – Licencing
Chapter 4 – Competitions
Chapter 5 – Protests & Appeals
Chapter 6 – Judicial Committee Guidelines
Chapter 7 - Sporting Commissions
Chapter 8 & 9 - Accreditation Schemes
Chapter 10 - Personal Accident Insurance
Chapter 11 - MA Anti-Doping Policy
Chapter 12 - All Disciplines
Chapter 13 - Australian Championships
Chapters 14 – 28 Discipline
Specific Chapters
You can view the 2008 GCR’s from
