Juniors Set for Tassie Battle

With the Queensland squad all set to do battle at the Penguin in Tasmania starting this weekend, the Motocross Subcommittee would like to take the opportunity to wish our youngsters all the best.
The KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championships take place from September 29 – October 6.
Ryan Alexanderson, Jet Alsop, Jackson Camilleri, Charli Cannon, Jake Cannon, Cooper Downing, Kobe Drew, Noah Ferguson, Tye Jones, Deegan Mancinelli, Taylah McCutcheon and Levi Rogers were all chosen for the squad.
Ben Alsop has been asked to assist the MX Subcommittee with the Team over the week, ably supported by Yamaha’s MX Development Supervisor Scott Bishop.
"Qld has been very successful in the last decade,” said Bishop, “and I believe we have the people on board to continue this strong representation across classes. Even choosing the final team will be difficult with all the quality riders to choose from.
"Penguin is a good track, apart from being far too cold with the top of 14 degrees I can see for today. "Last time I raced there was 20 years ago, but it used to have a lot of similarity to Echo Valley.
“It's neutral track, so hopefully there'll be close racing and the best guy and girl should win.”
Good luck boys and girls!
