$100K Later Murphy’s Creek Trail Ride Rolls On

Since it began ten years ago, the Toowoomba Motorcycle Club's Murphy's Creek trailride has seen $100K donated to the local community through the Murphy’s Creek State School. It's a groovy story, and the weekend June 16 and 17 is your opportunity to be a part of its next chapter.

TMCC's Nathan Bond takes up the story.

"If you are after a great ride with all levels of riding, then Murphy’s Creek is for you. Our tracks are brought to us by great local landowners, as well as the TMCC grounds, which has throttle-open riding, tight twisting stuff through the trees, and plenty of hard ups and downs for the keen riders. We cater for the families with some great Peewee and Novice tracks to test your skills on.

"This year we have a big event lined up.
We’d like to thank our great landowners and volunteers as they have been working hard to break in some great riding loops for the punters. The Open loop is just over 50km consisting of 3 loops (short, Medium and Long) with plenty of hard section off-shoots for the crazy- we mean keen riders!!

"The School P&C are cooking up a storm throughout the weekend and the local Rural Firies are keen to wash your bikes for a gold coin donation, so drop the bike off for a quick wash while you grab a burger and coffee from our local coffee van and soak up the great atmosphere of the 2018 Murphy’s Creek Trail Ride.

"The Murphy’s Creek rides are a community supported event where the town really gets involved, creating a great experience for the riders. We like to give back to the community where possible, so the Toowoomba Motorcycle Club makes donations to the local community in a number of ways. Since 2008 we've donated over $100K to the Murphy’s Creek State School, and it's important to continue that support because it's the kids who will grow our sport.

"The Murphy’s Creek Tavern has been great, and is putting on some great live music, munchies and even supplying their Hiace bus for shuttles between the camping grounds and the Tavern. We also need to give a big shout out to the Murphy’s Creek Store for their ongoing support, and yes they have eftpos, fuel, ice and drinks, so call in and grab some supplies.

"And see you at the ride."
