Six-time Aussie dirt track champion Briony Hendrickson can't wait to draw on her previous motocross experience roots again at this weekend's second round of the WoW Motocross series at Goondiwndi.
A former A-grader Hendrickson made her return to motocross a successful one when she took the early lead in the new championship for women, with a one-point win in the series opener at QMP.
With a win and two seconds, Hendrickson triumphed on that occasion over Lauren Jones and Charlotte Gamble, and now the 25-year-old high school PE teacher hopes to extend her series lead.
"I thoroughly enjoyed the first round of WOW," said Briony, "and as a result I look forward to competing at Goondiwindi and Warwick. Winning is every racer's goal so if I can secure the series than I would be stoked.
"If not, the motocross memories, friendships and happiness are equally important, and mean just as much down the track.
"Motocross is a fun and challenging sport, especially since recently I'm more conditioned for a high speed, groomed track.
"I have been flat out with work and chipping away at a few other personal goals, so no additional training has taken place.
"We'll see how we go at Goondiwindi."
Online entries have closed for the event, but the organisers will be taking day entries (with no late fee).
