Briony Hendrickson seized the lead in Queensland's newest women's motocross series - the WoW series - after an action-packed first round at the weekend.
Some seriously fast women wrung it out at QMP, and the six-time Australian Dirt Track Champion proved she certainly hasn't forgotten her motocross roots.
The Honda-mounted PE teacher spring-boarded off blistering starts to push to 1,2,2 scores.
KTM-mounted Lauren Jones won two of the three main event races, but an 8th in the opener on Saturday limited her to second overall ahead of Charlotte Gamble, who carved through to her best finish of the weekend after a wild turn one ride in the final moto.
In B Grade, Ashleigh Thomson took a narrow win over Britney Boyce, while behind the only headlight on the start line, enduro racer Ebony Nielsen won the C Grade class from Emily Harman and Amanda Carter, off the back of a mighty, third-moto ride from ninth to fourth overall.
In the Junior Lites 13 to U16 years event, Tahlia Drew won from Alana Schultz and Olivia Jinks.
