Queensland's Hunter Lawrence has slipped to fourth in the standings of the MX2 World Championship after round three of the title race at Valencia.
The Landsborough rocket on the 114 Motorsports Honda came away with 5th in the first moto, less than 2 seconds from the podium, then backed it up with another fifth in the second.
He now stands fourth in the world championship rankings, which are led by Latvian Pauls Jonass from Dane Thomas Kjer Olsen and Spaniard Jorge Prado.
Fellow Aussie Jed Beaton went 8-6 for the round.
