Landsborough's Hunter Lawrence maintained his third position in the MX2 World Championship despite a hard day at the office in the notorious Valkenswaard sand in the Netherlands.

Lawrence finished sixth in the second round of the championship on the back of two sixth place finishes, after a poor start and a fall in the first moto.

Defending champion Pauls Jonass was again perfect with two wins, leading home Jorge Prado and Thomas Kjer Olsen.
