Toby drops to fifth, Rod up to 20th

Toby Price's spectacular Dakar comeback from injury has suffered a harsh setback, as the Gold Coast resident took a wrong turn in Stage 10 of the Rally from Salta to Belen in Argentina.

The Red Bull KTM Factory Team rider has been in spectacular form after almost a year off the bike and was poised to make an attack on the overall top three overnight, but he instead dropped to fifth overall after a navigational error saw him finish 19th for the stage.

He now lies just over 50 minutes behind the new leader, team mate Matthias Walkner.

The fortunes of Longreach rider Rod Faggotter contrasted somewhat, the Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team rider riding to his career-best Dakar result, 13th for the stage.

The result puts Faggotter in 20th place overall.
