Young North Queenslander Brayden Bradford is back in Townsville after the gruelling 6600km round trip to compete at the Australian Junior Track Championships in Victoria. Braydo, as he is affectionately known by all, won gold in Victoria, and just the week before placed first at the Queensland Flat Track Championships.
Racing in the 7 to under-9 year 65cc category, Brayden won the Queensland title by less than half a second and then backed it up with another impressive ride at the nationals.
“Brayden’s been a huge improver,” his father Clinton said. “Last year he raced at the nationals in the 50cc and 65cc and he crashed in each, so he ended up finishing fourth and seventh. But he’s always kept pushing to keep riding.”
