With Saturday night Junior Presentation a success for all involved it was back to the track early Sunday for the seniors turn.
With the fast and furious echo of 4 strokes the stage was set for day of action as the tune of 2strokes had their peace of the action also.
As we seen all series Ricky Latimer was ready to take home the red plate, but Kaleb Barham wanted a say in that. With a wetter then expected track the riders had to work hard in slippery conditions, it all tacked up nicely and made for awesome racing. Young Kaleb Barham ended taking the days overall from Joel Evans And Riley Dukes, however TLR Yamahas Ricky Latimer 1st had final say taking the series overall from Husqvarna’s Kaleb Barham 2nd and Josh Kilvington 3rd.
QMX 2 Intermediate was awesome to watch seeing the young guns take it to the pros in the combined race, it was Isaac Ferguson 1st who took home the series overall in style with Joel Phillips 2nd Joshua Livsey 3rd.
Our biggest fields for the year was the Clubman qmx2 with 2 heats per round to decide the series podium bringing out the best in our future Intermediate riders, the top step of the podium went to Cody Schat 1st with young stayer Cohn Evans 2nd and Mark Lobley 3rd
Clubman qmx 1 didn’t disappoint either as the aggressive 450’s tamed the up and coming racers to smooth consistent riders. Cohn Evans 1st retained the red plate for series overall chased hard by Jack Butler 2nd and Laurie Castle 3rd.
Not forgetting our past champions the vets kept the action going showing you don’t get slower when you get older, just wiser. It was forever there rider Travis Regeling taking vets pro 1st Mathew Brown 1st Vets Intermediate. The clubman vets Raced hard for their spots as Ben Chandler 1st Travis Boroughs 2nd Alan Sutton 3rd .
Womens racers didn’t hold back showing some of the boys how it is, great action from the girls seen the support pick up for them. Chelsea Carter 1st fought hard to keep out Jamie Sanders 2nd Hayley Miller 3rd.
The screaming 125 class left nothing on the track with Kerrod Morrissy winning every moto after missing the first round, but it was Jacob Dank 1st who took the series overall from Kerrod Morrissy 2nd ,Darcy Cavanagh 3rd.
Pro Qmx 1 seen Australias best take to the track, with Yamahas Dean Ferris showing super speed and talent taking the wins at every round he entered. Not to be forgotten was Joel Rizzo who put in good rides before getting injured, keeping Qld QMX1 Champion Zak Small 1st on his toes, riding the best he has in years that seen him take series overall from hard working Jesse O’Farrell 2nd and Darcy Jones 3rd.
Int QMX2 was without action making Pro riders step it up or be shown whats install next year, making for a very interesting Qld titles in August. MPE rider Trae Kuehn 1st took the Series overall from Brenton Inglis 2nd ,Jayden Nisbet 3rd.
