The final round of the Airoh MX Series Sunshine State 2017 was a weekend of perfect winter weather at the Echo Valley circuit on 3rd 4th June.

With 370 bikes for the 2 day event, Saturday seen the Juniors take to a prestige track. With series overalls on the line and bragging rights the 15yrs Jnr Lites Echoed around the Valley with a fast pace showing they are not frightened to put it all on the line. In the end it was Yamahas Jack Kukas 1st taking the overall from Connor Mcnamara 2nd and 3rd Navrin Grothues. Racing 2 classes Jake Kukas took 1st in the 15YRS 2st also with Top gun rider Jayce Cosford 2nd and Connor McNammara 3rd.

The 14 yrs Jnr LItes 4st also seen a hot pace warming the weather up quicker then we expected, in the end it was Jimboomba Star Yamahas Jake Cuka 1st followed by the hard charging Yamaha rider of Levi Rogers 2nd and Top Gun Yamahas Jai Walker 3rd. In the 125 14yrs it was the very talented  Noah Ferguson who took the 1st place trophy From Jai Walker 2nd  and 3rd Levi Rogers.

As the track took shape the 65cc riders took to the tacky red soil, impressive to see so much talent moving forward in Queensland. With hard fought racing in this class all year it was MPE Rider Kobe Drew 1st  taking the series overall from Thomas Wood 2nd and Brenton Wilson 3rd. We cant forget young Valentino Mitchell who raced hard in the final rd winning a moto and missing the days podium by 1pt.

Young guns 7/9yrs 65 showed no letting up also, with Qlds world Jnr Title contender Jet Alsop taking 3 moto wins for the day as little Jake Cannon showed true speed in 2nd position, as it all unfolded it was Plant Hire direct/ BSMX rider  Liam Owens 1st who had the final say for series overall, Billy Wadwell 2nd and Jake Cannon 3rd overall, with the always impressing Jett Williams just missing a series podium by 4 pts, our future looks very bright for Champions.

Fast moving Mini Lites classes showed fast racing action, 9/11yrs was hard fought all series but the one who put it to them was a hard charging Blonde girl by the name of Charli Cannon, impressed to see the females mix it with the boys and not be afraid. As the final moto finished it was Plant Hire Direct/BSMX rider Jack Mather 1st who had final say in series overall chased hard by Charli Cannon 2nd and Mr consistency Kobe Drew 3rd.

Now hard fought racing was given a new meaning after the 12/13 yrs took to the track, with Deegan Macinelli and Brad West tied for 1st going into the final round it was always going to be gloves off. With multiple exchanges of paint between the 2 riders little Jack Kowal wanted nothing to do with it and took off into the sunset With 3 moto wins for the day, leaving the top step fight continue underneath him. In the end Deegan Mancinelli 1st left with the series overall 2nd Brad West and Freelance Jnr Rider Jake Kowal 3rd.

Not to be disappointed in the 15yrs Mini lites, biggest field I have seen in this class for years, with Noah Ferguson pushing hard all year to take 1st overall as young stayer Jnr KTM rider Rylee Goetsch 2nd and 3rd Hudson Hayward.

With the Toowomba  club taking home club and track of the series it topped of a great series. Thank you to all our Team, hosting clubs and volunteers.
