A very successful weekend was conducted for the Orange to Ocean rounds at Biloela and Gladstone on Aril 22 & 23 with 130 and 131 riders respectively. Biloela track presented very well after the recent rain and the riders thoroughly enjoyed the track. Aaron Hutton dominated the MX1 class with 3 wins but David Moloney and Geordie McGrath fought out the spoils finishing tied on points with Moloney taking second. In the QMX2 class Josh Hill, Quinlan Adams and Max Brennan took out the podium positions after some very close racing with all riders regularly swopping placings. In the Ladies class Ellyse O’Connor and Prue Maeyke fought it out for the top spot with O’Connor a clear winner. Kirra Baxter rode solidly to finish third. The Masters class saw Brett Scott the winner from Terry Scarborough and Mick Sewell. The QMX 1 Support class saw a return to winning form for Peter Kop who took the 3 race wins. Sam Wenham and Alan Cornick completed the top 3. Ronni Hobi took out first place in the QMX 2 Support ahead of local rider Tye Shaw and Blackwater’s Travis Dixon. The Junior Lites class saw Blackwater’s Dylan Gook reign supreme with 3 wins ahead of  Paris Rode and Jackson Korableff. The Mini Lites 12-under 16 class put on some very close racing with Braeden Krebs just edging out Zac Perry with Josh McKay taking third. In the Mini Lites 9- under 12 years Ty Soutter put in a dominant effort to win all 3 motos from Wyatt Hair and Sam Castle. The 65cc class saw a reverse though with Hair finishing ahead of Soutter and Castle this time. In the 65cc 7-under 12 years class Koby Tate clearly took a liking to the Biloela track and rode away with 3 wins. Darci Whalley and Lachlan Poulsen rounded out the podium. Lachlan Poulsen backed up that effort by taking out the win in the 50cc Auto class from Cooper Downing and Clayton Pickering.

Sunday morning at Benaraby the riders backed up to do it all again. It was extremely pleasing to see 26 Demo riders at Gladstone enjoying their own little track as well as taking on the main track. A few riders were unable to ride Sunday so that opened the way for Geordie McGrath to take out the win at Gladstone ahead of Lee Voss and Jayden Nisbett in the QMX1. The Support class was again dominated by Peter Kop who won all 6 motos for the weekend. Kop, Alan Cornick and Josh Putman filling the podium. Ojai McGuire seemed to prefer the Gladstone track and walked away with the win from Lachlan Lee and Quinlan Adams in the QMX2. The Support class saw another win to Ronni Hobi ahead of local Kam Watson and Travis Dixon. Terry Scarborough, Lee Voss and Prue Maeyke took wins in the Masters and Ladies classes. Dylan Gook was another rider to have the perfect weekend finishing with 6 moto wins in the Junior Lites class. In the Mini Lites 12-under 16 class Zac Perry turned the tables on Braeden Krebs to take first place with Sam Brims finishing third. Ty Soutter and Wyatt Hair again were the 2 to beat in the Mini Lites and 65cc classes each finishing with a first and second Brodie Jenner finished third in both classes. Slade Oberhardt found the track to his liking at Benaraby and took the three wins in the 65cc 7-under 9 class from Koby Tate and Logan Smith. Slade Oberhardt completed a perfect race meet with 3 wins in the 50cc Auto 2 class also. Lachlan Poulson and Cooper Downing completed the podium in a hotly contested field. All riders are now preparing for the final round at Rum City on May 28.
