Giru cane farmer and auto electrician Clinton Maltby has been riding dirt bikes since he can remember.

He started competing at the Ayr Motorcycle Club dirt track when he was 10 years old.  Clinton remembers those days as a lot of fun, and these days he still races, competing in the Vintage class on his 1983 Kawasaki, and in the veterans class on a KLX450.  His sons James and William have followed in their dad’s footsteps, racing in the 85 and 65cc classes respectively.

“I am glad that today’s youth still get the opportunity to experience the thrill of racing in the safe and competitive atmosphere of the Ayr Motorcycle Club, and I’m proud that my boys are racing and having the fun that I did at their age” Clinton said.

“When they have children I hope that they too will be able to the same.”
