It was great to be back at the Mozzie Creek Track at Emerald racing the MPE CQMX series round one,

We had 235 riders plus 25 50cc Demos put the track to the test,  some great racing came from the weekend, stand out highlights were Brad West and his equally matched rider in Tye Jones, they had the spectators watching every minute of the 4 races over the weekend , Brad West being the winner of this round, Tye Jones second and Zackary Watson in a well riden third.  Not to be out done the Senior Lites was another highly contested race between, Luke Weaver and Ryan Eden, changing places many times during their races, Luke Weaver had a very successfull weekend taking out the Senior Lites and the Senior Open classes.

Heath Fisher also had a awesome weekend, he rode like a Pro in the 50cc class, winning this class and then backing up on the 65cc 7 to under 10 yrs coming 2nd place, with  Jason West riding convincingly to 1st place.

Nicole Kenny was the ladies 1st place to the finish flag followed by Georgia Murray and in 3rd place was Georgia De Boni, it was great to see 10 ladies lined up at the start gates.

We had a couple of minor injuries and hope that these riders have a speedy recovery , and will be track side soon.

To the Emerald committee and all whom helped on the weekend, you should all be congratulated on a successful weekend and all appreciated the work that went into the event.

Round 2 is Clermont on the 1- 2 April, 2017.
