2017 has taken off with lightning speed and the Park has been busy with maintenance, riding days, events and/or promotion of the Park.
January saw the inaugural 3 day holiday camps start at QMP with Coaches Rod Jenner, Jemma Wilson, and Barry Surwarski looking after all our camp attendees with great skill. The park had two camps in January and they received excellent feedback from all who attended and these are now planned for a regular event every school holidays in 2017.
Another initiative undertaken in December, last year was QMP’s monthly coaching program which is proving to be very popular and an excellent opportunity for riders to gain some free coaching from Professional Coaches on a rotational system. Coaches included Luke Styke, John Armstrong, Jemma Wilson and John Spence and all have assisted with the previous months and soon the park will see Barry Surwaski, Rod Jenner and Tamara Gray.
Last weekend they had a Women on Wheels function that encouraged Women Road Bike Riders to ride out to QMP for a day of activities which was highly successful and a wonderful sight with all the road bikes pulling into QMP on a Sunday ride.
QMP offers state of the art, well maintained tracks to MA standards and are worked on every Tuesday and Wednesday ready for the week. There are 4 senior MX tracks, 3 Junior tracks, coaching facilities, camping facilities, and a huge trail network and all located in the beautiful Scenic Rim.
QMP are busy with several upcoming events the main one being their Motofest Weekend on 15th and 16th of July with Round 2 of the Stadium Cross championships, Round 3 of National Side x Side Championship, Classic Motocross Events, Trials and Enduro X events.
This is an excellent opportunity for riders to gain some free coaching from Professional Coaches on a rotational system.
