The MotoFest Community Day played out at the Dugandan Hotel (Boonah) last Saturday, October 1.
Over 20 bikes were on show as part of Brisbane Motorcycle Club’s (BMCC) Vintage MX Show ‘n Shine, where prizes were awarded to the best garage queens, race bikes, specials and rat bikes.
Local coach Barry Surawski was also in attendance on the day, offering free coaching to anybody aged 4 – 10 years old. Around 25 children got to test out MQ’s new fleet of Yamahas and gear, and received a free annual Recreational Licence, just for participating.
Motorcycling Queensland would like to thank Brisbane Motorcycle Club and Barry for their assistance with the day – it was awesome to be able to promote motorcycle sport in the Scenic Rim!
A big thanks also to the Dugandan Hotel for having us – the hotel providing some great food, drinks and live music on the day.
The second half of MotoFest will take place on November 27, with a racing for Vintage MX, EnduroX, Trials, Gravity Downhill Mountain Bikers, Postie Bikes and much more.
A second Come ‘n Try will also be running on the day – so bring down your kids and claim them a free Annual Recreational Licence!
