KTM FNQ Development Series ready to roll

Author: Media/Wednesday, September 14, 2016/Categories: State News

Organisers of the FNQ Development MX Series are proud to announce that KTM Australia have come on board with the series for 2016.  We are so lucky – thank you.

With the series only a month away, starting October 8 and running every weekend until the end of the month, we are getting things fired up. KTM has given us nine prizes to give away before the series starts.  If you would like to be a winner, check out our facebook page, as we have quizzes happening at least once or twice a week.  We have given three prizes away already. The lucky winners are Grace Cobbe, Alison Ylstra and Misty Wallace - congratulations to you all.

Our local gprs Motocross clubs (Cairns, Ravenshoe, Tully & Mareeba) are hosting this event again, there is coaching on the Saturday with Glenn Macdonald of MACA Coaching, which has proven popular with riders again this year having already filled the coaching spots at all clubs and we have reserves on waiting lists.

Sunday is race day, and it caters for all riders, but it helps the novice rider too! We have two groups in each axle & chains race, and this is to give confidence and achievement to even the newest of riders so they too can win trophies and see how they improve over the series.  We also have Glenn Macdonald doing mentoring for those riders that choosen to have this, allowing riders to speak and ask questions on why they are doing something wrong, as well as doing a track walk in the morning to get an insight of the best line choices.

We have feature shoot outs at each round thanks to Motorex, with gift packs available to the winners of two race classes, each round has a junior and senior class, and are different at every club so everybody gets a chance to win. Thanks Motorex for your support this year!

Spent Clothing are also involved this year, and offering a Sponsorship Gift pack to the most improved Rider over the series. Paul Byrnes is one of our local boys is proud to be part of the series. He has ridden at all our clubs and wants to give something back and to encourage more riders into the sport.  Thanks Paul!

This is the third year this series has run and riders love it!  It encourages new riders to the sport and gives the rider and their parents the confidence to tackle other MX events.  The coaching gives them new and improved skills before racing on the track, and Glenn Macdonald is very passionate about his coaching, and does his very best with each and every rider regardless of age, confidence or skill levels.  All riders leave with confidence in riding better and are wanting to come back for more.

We will be giving  other prizes away  throughout the series. We have KTM FNQ Development MX Series coolers on sale @ $10 and can be pre ordered so you don't miss out!

Keep up to date on what is happening at this event through our facebook page.  For more information please contact Noela on 0419 753 200 or noela@colorstudio.com.au
