Road Racer Anthony West has confirmed that he’ll be competing in the 2016 Stay Upright Australian Supermoto Championship, set to take place on July 29 – 31 at Mareeba.
Speaking from Japan where he is contesting the Asian Road Racing Championship, Anthony says he’s excited for the event.
"I’m really looking forward to returning to the MakoTrac International Racetrack,” he says.
“I have had some good days there and really enjoy the track. The layout is fantastic!”
Anthony has plenty of experience riding his Supermoto at the MakoTrac International Racetrack, having spent time there when not riding in MotoGP.
“Supermoto is great fitness training for the high demands placed on my body during a race”.
Far North Queensland Road Racing Club secretary Jason Allen, says it’s great to have Anthony West back again.
“This is really going to get the riders thinking as Anthony is a bit of an unknown force when it comes to Supermoto. I am sure he will be pushing to be at the front as usual.” he says
