Kilcoy Motorcycle Club move to Nominate

Author: Media/Friday, May 27, 2016/Categories: State News

Kilcoy Motorcycle Club race day this Sunday 29th May will be accepting entries via www.nominate.com.au. Entries close midnight tonight, Friday 27th May.

The decision to use nominate for all Kilcoy events instead of taking manual, cash entries on the morning of racing was made to make sign on procedures more efficient and speedy. Organised club days do not hold up start times.

Advantages for members, officials and committee members include

* Riders - Shorter wait times for riders to sign on, which has been very popular. No need to fill in lengthy forms before getting bikes checked at scrutineering

* Race Secretary – all information has already been gathered and checked, any further information needed can be fixed up at sign on, no need to chase riders for incomplete forms. Number of riders for each class is checked to ensure number of riders is not exceeded.

* Timing – transponders are already allocated and entered into the computer system, saving valuable time in the morning set up which does not then hold up practice/race time.

*Treasurer – The risk of carrying a high volume of cash is alleviated, stolen cash is not insured and is a huge safety risk and a great financial risk for the club. Counting, balancing and banking cash is reduced as nominate transfers funds to Kilcoy MCC bank account.

It does not take long to set up your details on nominate, once set up it takes very little time to enter each club day.

Entries will still be taken on the morning of race day however a fee of $10 will be charged with manual entry. If there is a reason why a rider can not use nominate please contact the club to make a different arrangement. If a rider is entered via nominate then can not make the club day a full refund will be made by the club.

Kilcoy is committed to making improvements for club members so please show your support by jumping on-line to enter www.nominate.com.au.
