Miles Trail Ride postponed indefinitely

Motorcycling Queensland regrets to announce that the Miles Trail Ride has been postponed indefinitely, due to dry conditions in the area.

Miles has only received about 122 mm of rain this year, compared to the town’s average rainfall to May of just over 265 mm.

Organisers were hopeful to run the ride last weekend (May 7 – 8), but unfortunately the dry conditions did not make the ride viable.

“We have to consider the risk to our country from erosion and fire, as well as the safety and enjoyment of our riders,” say organisers.

“It’s not fair on our riders or caterers to be hanging on to possible dates so when it rains, we will find a spare date and let you all know.”

All profits from the ride will be donated to Murilla Kindy and the Miles SES.

Keep an eye on the ride’s Facebook page and the Motorcycling Queensland website for a rescheduled date.
