Queenslander Jarred Brook headed to NSW over the weekend (April 9 – 10) to compete in the annual Trackmasters at Hunter Motorcycle Club.
It was the young rider’s first meeting this year, after breaking his collarbone six weeks ago. Jarred won 11 out of 12 heats, and made the local newspaper! Check out the article in the Maitland Mercury below:
“QUEENSLAND rider Jarred Brook claimed the Pro 450 Open title at the Hunter Motorcycle Club's annual Trackmaster at Barleigh Ranch. Brook held out Cessnock dirt track legend Paul Caslick, Kurri Kurri rider Boyd Hollis and Gunnedah’s Jordan Dall to take the title from a quality field.
"The same top three took out the Pro 450 class, with Toby Thomas from Temora fourth ahead and the Hunter’s Bayley James and Mitchell James. Brook also won the Pro 250 class from Sam Davies, Mitchell James and Hollis.
"Riders from across Australia descended on Barleigh Ranch, eager to compete in the coveted event and to gain valuable time on the track, which hosts this year’s Australian Dirt Track Championship. The Australian Championships will be held in August.
"There was plenty of action over the weekend with two-wheel categories from under-7 through to veterans, ATVs and sidecars taking part.”
