Riders ready to race for Darcy Ward

On February 6, 2016 the North Brisbane Junior Motorcycle Club (NBJMCC) will conduct the D-Dub #43 Cup, a benefit meeting for Queensland Speedway Superstar Darcy Ward.

Darcy suffered a life changing injury in a racing incident in Poland on August 23, 2015. Darcy spent many months in a spinal hospital in England and recently returned home to Australia and is now receiving rehab at Making Strides Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Centre on the Gold Coast. The meeting is to raise funds to support Darcy in his recovery and rehabilitation.

The Cup is being organised by NBJMCC in conjunction with Ivor Harm of BRTS Racing, a long time sponsor of Darcy’s.

The meeting will include classes for 125 juniors, 250 juniors and 500 seniors. It will start with 125's at 3pm and the main meeting (250 juniors and 500's) will start at 4pm. Riders that have entered so far include Jason Crump, Ryan Douglas, Rohan Tungate, Sam Masters, Nick Morris, Josh Grajczonic, Tyson Nelson, Alan and Josh McDonald, Tyson Snow, Jake Allen and the list goes on.

The meeting will consist of a 16 rider 125 junior field over 20 heats, a 250 junior field (numbers and races to be confirmed) and 2 x 16 rider senior fields over 20 heats each with 4 semi-finals and one final .

Gate entry is $25 for adults, $15 for pensioners and children 10 to 16 yrs. Children under 10 receive free entry.
