Changes to the 2016 Sunshine State Series

Changes to the 2016 Sunshine State Series

Author: Media/Monday, December 21, 2015/Categories: State News

The following changes are being implemented for the 2016 Series:

Transponder hire for each round of the Sunshine State MX Series will be $28 per round.  If a rider signs up for all six rounds of the series and requires transponder hire for each round, they will be automatically given a transponder with up to a two year subscription to keep.  Should a rider not complete all rounds of the series after entering and receiving their transponder they will only receive a refund (if satisfies REFUND POLICY) minus the balance of the transponder cost plus any other fees the MQ Subcommittee may determine.

After a rider has completed five rounds and paid for transponder hire at each round, they will automatically receive a transponder as their own, including the balance of any subscription period remaining.

If a rider completes less than five rounds they may purchase a transponder by paying the balance remaining after deducting the hire fee already paid over the rounds they competed in.  This will also include the balance of any subscription period remaining as well.

Qualifying for the 2016 Qld Motocross Championships will come from the following:
Sunshine State MX Series – top 20 riders in each class (NUMBER TO BE CONFIRMED)
CQMX Series – top 7 riders in each class (NUMBER TO BE CONFIRMED)
Tropical NQMX Series – top 7 riders in each class (NUMBER TO BE CONFIRMED)
2015 Top 3 at Qld MX Championships
Wild Card – 3 in total per senior class (at the MX Subcommittee’s discretion).

There will be two (2) programs produced for the series – Program 1 will cover Rounds 1-3 inclusive, Program 2 will cover Rounds 4-6 inclusive.  Only Riders who have entered the series or ½ series will appear in the program (i.e. per round entries will not be listed in the program). Series entries will receive free t shirt and will be printed in program.

Optional 1/2 series entries which will be printed in program (they are not eligible to receive a free t-shirt)

Event order and riders list will be in final instructions and a printed hand out available at sign on.

Both of these classes will race together and be scored separately.  Prize money for each round and overall trophies will be calculated separately.

Race duration of each moto has been lengthened to 3 x 20 minute races for Pro and Intermediate classes.

Veterans will be separated into two age groups: 35 - 44 years and 45 years and over, and trophies in these classes will only be issued for Series top three.

Payment for camping will be managed at the front gate for each individual round.
All junior entries will receive a pass for the rider + 2, and all senior entries will receive a pass + 1.

As entry passes are not physically issued as individual passes, those seeking to enter the venue with an entered rider must accompany them through the gate at the same time.
All others will be charged at the gate.
