In 2015 the Toowoomba Motocross Club, Toowoomba Motorcycle Club and Queensland Vintage Motocross Club are proud to host the 2015 Mountain Man Motocross (MMM) at Echo Valley Raceway, Toowoomba on the 7th and 8th of November.
It is the first time the three clubs have united to promote an event and the outcome promises to be the biggest single motocross extravaganza of the year. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of this iconic event which first started in 1975, running until 1997. The Mountain Motocross race has always been regarded as a pinnacle in Australian motocross racing, always attracting the greatest riders from across Australia and internationally.
Champions of past Mountain Man Motocross events have become legends for generations of racers that followed and in 2015 we will continue the tradition with the fastest pro riders backed from factory teams as well the country’s fastest privateers signing up for a chance to take home MMM glory.
The 40th Anniversary of Mountain Man Motocross will host many classes of racing, each showcasing the best that the sport of motocross offers. Spectators will be treated to a diverse racing program that has something for everyone. Whether your passion is new or old motocross racing it is all happening on the famous Echo Valley circuit.
The Mountain Man class is the main event of the whole weekend. It is an 'Allpowers' class meaning riders can use any size motorcycle they choose and competitors will duel it out over 4 long races (motos) trying to take the title of Mountain Man Motocross champion and their share in the $10'000 prize pool. It was and will be again, the greatest achievement in Australian Motocross and a spectacle not to missed by motorsport fans.
The Suomy Helmets Junior Mountain Man Motocross class showcases the rising talent that we have in the sport today with 13-15 year olds competing. It is a proving ground for young racers looking to make a name for themselves in this great sport.
The Goldentyre 125cc Cup, is a recent addition to the MMM lineup. This race has been favorite at Echo Valley for both competitors and spectators alike. It’s all about fun, however on a serious side, the reward for winning this class is $2000 so expect it to always produces wheel to wheel, bar banging action that really puts smiles on everyone in the crowd. Definitely a must see race.
The Vintage classes are a tribute to the beginnings of Mountain Man Motocross and also the origin of the motocross. The legends that pioneered the sport are celebrated by racing the machines they once did in this historic event. To help throwback to those years there are a load of vintage classes ranging from pre '75 to pre'95 and also the addition of a sidecar class. Don’t be fooled by the age of their machines, as they mean business and the racing will wow crowds at the track.
Spectators won’t only be treated to the best motocross racing of the year, but families can expect to able to come and be a part of the festival type atmosphere with a chance to meet current and past motocross stars, look at all the vintage and modern motocross machines, wander through industry trade stalls, enter raffles and giveaways and check out the Mountain Man Motocross exhibits.
The previous winners will take part in ceremonial parade laps during the lunch break and the famous motocross commentator Bob "The Motor Mouth" Johnson will join the team of commentators keeping the crowds on their toes with interviews and race updates all day. It’s a clear winner for moto fanatics, family’s or action sport addicts looking for a fun filled weekend.

-Mountain Man Sidecars - Unlimited
The Event is supporting 2 Charities, ‘beyondblue’s, 'Riders against Depression' assisted by Brisbane Motorcycle Club and ‘Ride 4 Disabled’ (R4D) as founded by Harley Quinlan and Ford Dale.
Tickets will be available for the Charity function to be held on the Saturday night, this will be attended by the legends and you are welcome to be part of this special fund raising event. Some very special motocross items have been acquired and will be auctioned along with many silent action items.
