Preparations are in full swing for the first annual MotoFest, which kicks off at Queensland Moto Park this weekend.

Riders will be travelling from as far as New South Wales to have a shot at the $16,000 prize money of offer across three different disciplines. Who are our most promising riders? Read on to find out…

Motorex EnduroX

In the Open All Powers Motorex EnduroX, Active8 Yamaha off-road rider Beau Ralston will be taking on Lachlan Stanford, fresh from his trip to Slovakia to compete at the ISDE. Stanford placed an awesome sixth in the E3 class, helping the Australian World Trophy Team come home with second place.

In the women’s EnduroX, two-times Finke Finisher Melissa Bruce will be a championship contender, coming up against the likes of New South Wales rider Kristie Mckinnon. Mckinnon’s got her work cut out for her this weekend- she’ll be taking on the EnduroX, Dash 4 Cash and Kick Start Arena Trials!

Queensland Enduro great Kirk Hutton is sure to make waves in the EnduroX veterans class.

RXT Helmets Dash for Cash

Beau Ralston will shift his focus to the Natural Terrain Track on Sunday morning in the open class of the RXT helmets Dash 4 Cash.

In the Junior Lites, 15 year old Fraser Higlett will be looking to make his mark. The up-and-comer has recently trained at the Motorcycling Australia Elite Performance Academy, and secured a first place finish at the Yeppoon EnduroX.

Kick Start Arena Trials

Some of Queensland’s best Trials riders will be going head-to-head in the Kick Start Arena Trials event at MotoFest. Isaac Luft, Ruben Chadwick and Boyd Willcocks are all Sunny State riders who look in for a chance at the big prize money.

The riders will have to face 5x Australian Moto-Trials champion Kristie Mckinnon. Mckinnon has plenty of experience behind her, having competed at the Trials des Nations an impressive eight times.
