The first ever MotoFest will treat crowds at Queensland Moto Park, Boonah this weekend (September 26 – 27).
The event kicks off in Boonah on Saturday afternoon, when MotoFest riders will be getting their bikes inspected in the main street.
On Sunday, the real action starts at Queensland Moto Park from 8am. Crowds will be treated to a jam-packed day of motorcycle racing, motorcycle stunt shows, Tigermoth and Spitfire flyovers, skydiving shows, industry trades and displays, and much more.
There will be a wildlife exhibit, jumping castle, rock climbing wall and giant slide for the kids.
Some of Australia’s best riders will be racing at MotoFest, including five times Australian Moto-Trials Champion Kristie Mckinnon.
Mckinnon will be making the trip from New South Wales to compete in the Moto-Trials component of MotoFest, which sees riders navigate over obstacles like cars, rocks and logs.
At the same time, there will be riders competing in a gruelling three hour Enduro, riders racing against each other on the Motocross track, and riders performing tricks for the crowds on the Freestyle Motocross ramp.
The event has been a joint venture between Queensland Moto Park, Motorcycling Queensland and the Boonah Chamber of Commerce, and aims to promote motorcycle sport to the wider community.
Queensland Moto Park was opened in 2011, and attracts more than 30,000 riders annually. The park has a great relationship with Boonah and the surrounding areas, injecting approximately $500,000 into the local economy annually via Scenic Rim businesses.
Tickets for Sunday’s event are $15 per adult, $10 per child (under 18) and $40 for a family of four.
Rider entries are open until midnight tonight (Tuesday). Enter now via www.nominate.com.au
