Juniors tear up the track at SEQ Series

The third round of the KTM SEQ Junior Series took place at Tivoli over the weekend (September 12 – 13), where we witnessed some fantastic battles on the race track.

Being a graded Junior Series, race leads have changed often between closely matched competitors. C graders have been getting their own race without being intimidated by the faster riders, whilst A and B graders have been exciting the crowds with their great skills. Lots of nervous parents were watching, cheering and then checking race results and lap times to see the improvement.

It’s great to see so much young talent coming through the ranks. With classes from 50cc Demonstration through to a race for the Dads in the Veterans class, there is a race for everyone. Lots of sportsmanship awards donated by Rockwell Watches have been given out and raffles for Bridgestone Tyres have been won at each round.

The final and deciding round at Coolum on the October 24 - 25 will incorporate the Queensland Junior Women’s Title. It’s going to be a close race for one lucky rider to be awarded the KTM Trophy for the highest pointed junior rider on a KTM for the series- the top two of Jacob Johnston and Billy Hargy are only separated by three points.

Entries for the Coolum round can be made now via www.nominate.com.au. All results can be viewed on the MyLaps website.
