Club Motocross will return to the rolling hills of Green Park on Saturday 10 October with the running of the Sunshine Coast Motor Cycle Club’s second Grand Prix event for 2015.
The last Conondale club Motocross was way back in March, so everyone is keen to get out there again and have some racing FUN.
The club has made some changes in order to make the event accessible to ALL club members and keep entry fees a little more manageable.
Extra classes have been added for Divi 1, 50cc auto and 65cc racers on a shortened track with the usual junior and senior classes right up to pre-90’s and vets retained so that the whole family can come and enjoy racing on one of Australia’s best natural terrain tracks.
In keeping with the friendly atmosphere the event will be self-scoring with chocolate frogs as prizes and transponders will no longer be compulsory. This will reduce entry fees by $20 for many recreational racers.
The two moto format will be retained and for those seniors who haven’t had enough by day’s end and the feature race will be open to those who consider themselves fit/fast enough to race for another 30 minutes.
The track will be prepped and watered and very similar to the fast flowing layout that punters raved about during the Conondale Classic.
KTM will be holding their ride day on Sunday after the GP and have invited GP riders to camp over and join in; make sure you register with your local KTM dealer if you wish to take this offer up.
Camping will be free with hot showers available. This will be the club’s last motocross event for 2015 so we hope for a strong rider turnout to close out the year.
Come and have FUN racing in paradise!
