Cairns Motorcycle Club is pleased to announce they were successful in receiving a grant for $35,000 that was used to purchase a new CASE SR130 Bobcat.

The bobcat was unveiled last Saturday at the second round of the Development Series in Cairns. Local Member Curtis Pitt MP was at the unveiling.

Caroline Liddle, who was appointed the clubs first dedicated Grants Officer early in 2015, was pleased with the grant being approved.

“This is absolutely wonderful news and we are all immensely stoked and excited,” she says.

“This is a great outcome in moving the club forward.”

The Club was fortunate to have letters of support from Kim Rowcliffe (MQ) and the club would like to thank him for his support in receiving this grant. The Cairns Motorcycle Club would also like to thank QMAC Machinery Cairns and their Case Sales Manager Craig Botefuhr with their help securing the CASE Bobcat for the club.

Cairns Motorcycle Club is about to undergo big changes with the Cairns Regional Council coming in August to upgrade the Cairns Motocross Track.
The bobcat will help in this upgrade and also in the future in preparing the track for riders. The bobcat will help make the club a lot more self-sufficient well into the future.

Roma District Motorcycle Club was also successful in securing a $35,000 grant for a bobcat recently.

Applications for round 86 of the Gambling Community Benefit fund close August 31. Find out more information on how your club can apply here.
