Organisers of the Motocross Interclub Challenge say the new series is gaining plenty of momentum.
The opening round kicked off in Toowoomba on June 21, and moves to Chinchilla on July 11 – 12.
The second round will also act as a fundraiser for Travis Mitchell, a much loved father, husband, and member of Chinchilla Motocross Club. The club says there are 100s of items to give away thanks to the generosity of sponsors and the local community.
“We have thoroughly enjoyed organising this event,” says the club.
“It has reminded us that Motocross is more than just riding. We look forward to the successful day ahead and can’t wait to remind everyone of the true family fun sport Motocross is.”
President of Toowoomba Motocross Club- John Gierke says all clubs involved in the challenge are getting better results than they’d hoped for.
“We are changing Motocross to be about more than just riding,” says Gierke.
“It’s about family, making friends and having a good time.”
The next round of the series will be held Bingalow Recreational Grounds, Chinchilla on July 11 – 12. Already, 100 riders have nominated for the event. There will be a pig on the spit on Saturday night and camping available.
